# Brazilian pharmaceutical data API

Integrate Brazilian medication data with canonical records, medication search, regulatory provenance and conservative name resolution.

## Pharmaceutical data, structured for software

IaBula structures data from Brazilian ANVISA, CMED and DCB sources into a read API. Developers can search medications, retrieve canonical records, explore ingredients and follow published changes through a consistent integration contract.

> IaBula is an independent platform. Regulatory source data does not imply endorsement by those authorities. The service is informational and does not provide medical advice.

## Start building

- [Make your first request](https://iabula.com/docs/en/getting-started)
- [Understand authentication](https://iabula.com/docs/en/authentication)
- [Explore the V1 endpoints](https://iabula.com/docs/en/api-reference)

Use direct access with an IaBula API key or a RapidAPI subscription. Both channels share operations and schemas, but their credentials are not interchangeable.

## A verified resolution example

```json
{"query": "NATULAXE CAPSULA"}
```

In the verified RapidAPI Hub test, POST /v1/resolve returned status = resolved, product_name = NATULAXE, entity_type = medication_variant and dosage_form = cápsula. This is a documented example, not a live request from this page.

> Ambiguous names or insufficient evidence may return unresolved with HTTP 200. Resolve abstains rather than selecting an uncertain variant.

## Source, identity and evidence

A published name, a canonical identity and a regulatory relationship have different meanings. The API preserves evidence classes and source references. Literal active-ingredient text is not automatically a canonical ingredient entity.
